The BluePrint 2026 Youth Leadership Institute

The BluePrint 2026 Institute is a day-long immersive program featuring keynote speakers, skill-building workshops, and interactive sessions led by leading Democrats, educators, and activists. Participants will collaborate on issue-based projects, explore pathways for civic engagement, and prepare for their roles at the 2026 Democratic Nominating Convention.

Curriculum and Training
The BluePrint 2026 curriculum prepares the next generation of Democratic leaders with the skills, confidence, and insight needed to turn values into action and ideas into impact.
Participants will choose from the following skill-based workshops:
Social Media for Social Good, Digital Story Telling and Press Relations
Learn how to use social media, storytelling, and earned media to amplify your message, mobilize supporters, and shape the public narrative in campaigns and causes.
Show Me the Money: Fundraising
Understand the basics of campaign fundraising, from small-dollar donors to events and outreach, and learn why fundraising is essential to winning campaigns.
Running for Office
Thinking about running for office someday? This workshop introduces the basics of becoming a candidate, including deciding to run, building support, and understanding the role and responsibility of public leadership.
Public Speaking
Build confidence and learn practical techniques to speak clearly, persuasively, and authentically—whether addressing a classroom, community meeting, or campaign crowd.
Scheduling and Advance
Go behind the scenes of a campaign to learn how schedules are built, events are planned, and candidates are prepared to show up effectively and strategically.
Grassroots Organizing and Coalition Building
Discover how successful movements are built from the ground up by organizing people, building coalitions, and turning shared values into collective action.
Managing a Campaign
Explore what it takes to run a campaign day-to-day, including leadership, decision-making, teamwork, and keeping a campaign on track under pressure.
